Huang Jingxiang

The grandest metamorphosis is a farewell to oneself; the blossoming trees, radiant and vivid, are not bound by the longing of poems’ words.

About me

Huang Jingxiang, a 2024 master’s student majoring in journalism and communication at Nanjing University. He is a member of the Computational Communication Collaboratory. He is advised by Professor Cheng-Jun Wang. His research interests include computational social science, natural language processing and Data mining.

Currently, my research interests focus on two aspects: one is trying to apply causal inference methods on social media data to explore whether a certain narrative with the spirit of the times in social media can have an impact on reality; the other is trying to innovatively apply NLP technology to social science research, so as to capture more insights from the text when analyzing large-scale corpus.

What’s more, I am the manager of the WeChat Official Account 计传大排档 (Computational Communication Daipaidong), where I regularly share not only the academic papers I have read, but also my reflections on scholarly communication, research experiences, and insights gained throughout my academic journey. You’re very welcome to follow and join the discussion!
